Captain Rodolph Austin was outstanding in the middle of the park both in constructive attacking and breaking up the Irish attack as a defender. Zac Thompson sent over several fine crosses which Matt Smith appreciated and Alex Mowatt and Chris Dawson showed much promise in midfield. A fine through ball by Rodolph Austin saw Noel Hunt open the scoring with a great finish after a quarter of an hour. Ryan Hall showed good form scoring the second goal in the twenty-eighth minute and in scoring the final goal eleven minutes from the end. Ross Killock got the third goal just before the hour mark with a fine header from a well-placed corner. Matt Smith could consider himself unlucky for not being able to get his name on the scoresheet and both Zac Thompson and Chris Dawson went close in the second half. Leeds brought on Lewis Walters for Noel Hunt in the sixtieth minute and Lewie Coyle replaced Chris Dawson ten minutes later. The home side had more changes replacing keeper Lee Murphy with Niall Burdon, right back Brian Shortall with Robert Cornwall, right half Derek Doyle with Jack Memery, centre half Graham Gartland with Paul Andrews, left half Ian Ryan with Adam O'Connor and Dean Kelly by Carl Walshe after the half-time break. There were further changes as substitute Jack Memery made way for Joe O'Neill at right half and outside left Stephen Hurley was replaced by Jake Donnelly in the sixty-fourth minute. Eight minutes later outside right Alex Prizeman made way for Michael Fox, then left back Pat Flynn was replaced by Glen Cronin in the seventy-eighth minute and finally inside left, Lee Murtagh gave way to Suen Birnsumba five minutes later, leaving Sean Brennan and Charlie Tracey unused on the bench. The unused Leeds substitutes were: Eric Grimes, Lewis Cook and Luke Parkin. The crowd was 2,177 and the Referee Paul Tuite (Dublin).
